PBL Blog post

I am proud of my PBL because even know it started to get hard after a while I kept on trying and my PBL learning turned out great. Something that has challenged me was making my Report quality then when it was  a gold quality Report I had make  making my Artefact quality.
The learning muscle I used to get out of  the pit was my revising muscle using what I all ready knew and put it into my Report. To get my report ready to create I had to pick some keywords and key sentences I had to plan it first before I could create my report. The two most interesting facts would be one that they raced in the nood and two, there were no women allowed to watch this event

Balloons

The first time I wrote this story it was very boring but then I went back and added heaps of detail and vocab that made my reading much more interesting to make it a great piece of writing.

Something that has challenged me is when I had to change my whole piece of writing to make it more interesting to make the reader hooked into my writing.

Bang! Bang! We all started hitting the Balloons that were filling up the room you couldn’t move around the room there were so much.
“Ready I’ll stand on the still and throw some of the balloons up in the air,”
“3,2,1”.....
Bang! Bang! POP!!!!!! We all hit the same balloon at the same
time and we popped it, we also popped some when we landed on the ground suddenly the  room was silent...
We all looked at the the balloon and saw it was shredded into 5 little pieces
suddenly everybody started to laugh and laugh.
“Guys,” I whispered
“Who wants to do it again!!!”
“Me!!!!!!!!!!”
“Kids dinner time”.
“Ohhhhh”.

At midnight we all quietly tiptoed into the lounge to play with the
balloons, we finally made it to the lounge but…
Mum had popped all the balloons. “Mum!!!”

Setting your self a challenge

Learning experience
I am proud of myself because at the start of week Six I set myself a challenge, that challenge was to be one of the first people to finish my learning experience's. Guess what? I pushed myself to succeed and I ended up being the first to finish my learning experience's with a week of them to go. I mean wouldn't you be proud?

In the previous I have been finishing my learning on the last day but this time I finished my learning with a week to go.

Maths Area\Fraction
In maths I've been using my refining muscle and my perseverance muscle. My refining muscle is when you take something from other learning and take it into different learning. Like going to a workshop then going and putting it in your own work. My perseverance muscle means keep on trying.

I am proud of my maths because I learnt new things well I was doing it which is cool.

Matariki

Have you ever looked up at the night sky and gazed at the stars?
You might have seen a group of seven called Matariki.
Matariki is also the name for the Maori New Year.
You can see the stars of Matariki for most of the year, but they disappear from the night sky in Aotearoa in April.

We have been learning to celebrate  Martariki in many different ways.
Martariki is about joining together and doing fun activities like carving and Matariki games.

I have been learning to carve.
For carving you need a chisel, a mullet and wood to carve.
To carve you need to put your sharp end of your chisel on an angle in the wood and the wooden end of the chisel on the top. Grab the mullet and bang it on the wooden end of the chisel now your carving

The learning muscle I used to get out of the learning pit was my perseverance muscle.
I am proud of myself because I tried something new which was Carving I have never done Carving before.
Something that challenged me was learning how to carve and go around curves.
I like how you can create anything by carving.

Art

I have been learning to blend the colors, how to do a vanishing point and a horizon line.
A vanishing point is where the path joins together.
Something that challenged me was filling in the white parts and keeping inside of the lines.
I am proud of my art because I took my time and didn't rush my work.

I tried to make this art animated and crazy and it turned out to be just like I wanted it.
If you want to make something like this all you need is oil crayons but if , you are going to you's(use) black you's(use) it last.

NBA Star

                                                  NBA STAR
Do you have a dream to be a NBA STAR?  Well this is for you. Four steps about how to play basketball I know heaps of information about basketball so don’t worry about not learning anything. Don’t run with the ball or that is called a travel you have to bounce  the ball.

Defence
Make sure you don’t touch the other team just touch the ball. If you touch the other team it's called a foul
Foul
If you foul the other team six times  you get fouled out. That means you can’t play for the rest of the game. Which lets your team down, if you get fouled well you're shooting you get to go to the three throw line. Which means If you get fouled while taking a three you get one shot, just in front of the three line, and if you get fouled well you’re shooting inside the three then you get two shots.
Shooting a Basketball
Keep one hand on the  side of the ball and the other on the front of the ball. Once you have shot you keep your hand up with a flick like this .
There are  so many different way’s to shoot like a layup. A layup is simple all you need to do is , to bounce the ball up to the hoop take two steps and shoot. Another one is a fader way when you jump backwards and shoot.
Dribbling
To bounce a ball you Don’t  slap it you gently pat it. You’re only aloud to bounce with one hand at a time otherwise it's called a double dribble and it's the other team's ball.

WARNING: IF YOU’RE FROM NEW ZEALAND IT’S HARD TO GET IN THE NBA  ONLY FOUR  KIWIS HAVE MADE IT INTO THE NBA.

When you get older you will learn different Basketball skills, not only these one's there is heaps of  Basketball skill Comment layup's and passing. Maybe if you like I could tell you how to do more skills:) .

This for those that want to learn how to play Basketball and skills. So if you are just learning about basketball this could be good for you. Actually not good for you really good for you.

I am learning to remember to put capital letters after a full stop.
I am proud of my writing because I got to share basketball skills with the world.
